Summary
High-purity CVD ZnS (Zinc Sulfide) infrared substrate, FLIR grade & HIP multispectral grade. Broadband IR transmission, custom domes, windows, AR/DLC coating, fast RFQ.

CVD Zinc Sulfide Multispectral Infrared Optical Substrate Felix Glass supplies high-purity CVD ZnS (Zinc Sulfide) optical glass substrates, available in two core grades: standard FLIR grade and HIP hot isostatic pressed multispectral grade. ZnS delivers excellent infrared transmission and balanced mechanical strength, widely used for thermal imaging domes, protective windows and common-aperture multi-sensor optical systems. We provide custom blanks, hemispherical domes, flat windows, lens substrates with precision polishing, AR and DLC hard coatings. ZnS Optical Glass | CVD Zinc Sulfide CVD ZnS is chemical vapor deposited zinc sulfide, one of the dominant materials for long-wave infrared optical domes. Material name ≠ performance grade. Standard FLIR grade ZnS is optimized for low-cost LWIR thermal imaging. HIP multispectral ZnS undergoes hot isostatic pressing to eliminate scattering voids, enabling visible + near-IR + LWIR multi-band transmission for common-aperture multi-sensor systems. Wrong grade selection causes visible haze and imaging failure. Interferometer Inspection Precision Polishing ZnS Optical Substrate & Dome We separate FLIR grade and HIP multispectral ZnS batches strictly. HIP processing is an extra step to remove internal scattering defects for multi-band optical systems. BBAR broadband anti-reflection coating maximizes IR transmission for imaging. DLC coating is widely added on ZnS domes to boost scratch resistance, erosion resistance and environmental durability for airborne and outdoor deployment. Learn more about optical coating technology. To generate an accurate quotation within 24 hours, please prepare below information: Standard FLIR grade ZnS works only for LWIR. HIP ZnS removes internal scatterers, supports visible to LWIR multi-band transmission for multi-sensor common-aperture systems. DLC coating is optional but highly recommended for airborne, outdoor and high-wind environments to resist scratch and sand erosion. Yes, we fabricate hemispherical, hyper-hemispherical and custom curved ZnS domes for thermal imaging gimbals.
