A: Thermal performance is one of the core advantages of quartz glass. For high-grade synthetic quartz glass, the long-term safe continuous working temperature is 1100°C to 1200°C. In short-time working conditions, it can bear a maximum temperature up to 1300°C. Apart from high temperature resistance, its thermal shock resistance is also outstanding. The qualified products can endure rapid heating and cooling cycles with a temperature difference up to 1000°C without cracking or deformation. It is worth noting that the temperature resistance will be slightly affected by material purity and internal OH content. Products with higher purity and lower hydroxyl content perform better in long-term high-temperature service.
