Material & Grade Overview
Single crystal silicon features excellent transmission from 1.2μm‑7μm, widely used in MWIR band. It has high thermal conductivity, good mechanical strength and stable performance at elevated temperature. Material substrate does not equal final performance grade. Please advise your working wavelength, operating temperature and coating requirements to avoid improper selection.

Can silicon IR window work for LWIR 8‑14μm?
Silicon is not suitable for standard 8‑14μm LWIR. Choose ZnS, ZnSe or Germanium for LWIR applications.
